In terms of why they implemented it, I think this is a very strong and solid idea! This was one of the few ways they could make untradeable items exist in the game without making the Temtem themselves untradeable. Pokemon also featured this exact feature, but with the most recent major patch, Temtem has taken it a step further to bind certain game functionality to the OT to balance out certain items, Telomere hacks. Original Tamer, or OT, signifies the original owner of a given Temtem. Pretty much anybody who has ever played a creature collector with trading functionality knows what this is.
Hello forumites! This is going to be a rather large feedback post about the OT system, the Telomere hack changes, future items that might use the newly established precedent of the OT only system, a potential solution, and the egg selling scene.
